Got the fried chicken for lunch, very good. Mac-n-Cheese was tasty and a good portion. The two men that served me were nice and polite to everyone, I will be back.

Hard to say when the the food quality and taste is inconsistent , the food is not bad but majority of the time my order is just ok and every blue moon it's really good. I assume different cooks maybe the reason . This time I got the 2pc whiting with 2sides because none of the entrees looked appealing to me and the fish are cooked to order so that's always a win and it was cooked good a little on small side but other than that fish was good, I got collards and cabbage. The collards were ok but the cabbage weren't. Well not to me anyway. They taste like straight banana peppers literally. I can't make that up. As soon as I taste them that's what I thought and I like banana peppers at certain times but not the taste I expected for cabbage at all...I even was looking to see if I saw any peppers in there. Am I tripping..has anyone experienced this with the food there. And no I'm not knocking the business...like I said the food is ok usually

Had the large Berkeley Breakfast with pancakes, grits, scrambled eggs, corn beef hash and added a biscuit. Portion sizes were bigger than expected. Everytbing was flavored well. It hit the spot.

I mean, all the way around, great food and customer service!! I can only get here on the weekend. The line seems constantly long, yet moves fast enough so you have time to figure out what you're gonna get on your plate! If that sounds like an oxymoron, just try it! The fact that you can go shopping for your groceries, check out, and then get some amazing soul food, I'm all in! The price is affordable for the portions you get. The food is flavorful and delicious. They have a really nice seating area that can accommodate a single diner to a whole family. I look forward to trying more dishes here and shopping in the market weekly!!
